Pack up the Christmas tree and tell the turkeys to relax, the year of 2015 is finally here.
And whilst we may not have flying cars and hoverboards just yet, there are plenty of New Year's resolutions flying around. But the real question is: which ones will stick? If you’re running a little late in setting your resolutions for 2015, perhaps our list of the 5 most common will give you some inspiration. So let’s get started…
5. Read more books
In a world that’s based almost entirely around the digital world of the internet, many of us wish we had more time to sit down with a good book. So much so, in fact, that many people’s New Year’s resolutions relate directly to this specific goal. If you want to read more, try sitting in a comfy chair, making a cuppa, and dedicating just 30 minutes to reading. And don’t worry, reading on an e-reader still counts!
4. Learn to relax more
There’s no denying it: the world is packed with more stress and strain than ever. From the busyness of our working lives to the various ups and downs of our personal ones, headaches are common. That’s why so many people aim to relax and de-stress more in the New Year. We may be biased, but we can personally vouch for the effectiveness of a whirlpool bath in offering true relaxation at home. Why not give it a try?
3. Save more money
Christmas is an expensive time of year, there’s no doubt about it. So that may be why the goal of saving money ranks so highly on the list of New Year’s resolutions. We all wish we had a bit more pocket money now and then, and saving just a little each month throughout the year can soon add up to a healthy nest egg.
2. Quit smoking and/or drinking
We each of us have vices, and smoking and drinking are among the most common. But these activities can have side-effects in terms of our health, which is why so many people are aiming to kick them to the curb in 2015. Efforts such as Stoptober and Dryathlon aim to help people quit smoking and reduce drinking – so why not join in this year?
1. Get fit and healthy
You knew it was coming! The number one New Year’s resolution for 2015 simply has to be the desire to be more fit and healthy. For gyms, there’s no busier time than now for new clients. Likewise, supermarkets report an uptick in the purchase of healthy foods. So our advice is for you to jump on the bandwagon and take this as some motivation if you’re planning to get fit and healthy in 2015!
So which on this list are you going to have a go at? Or do you have some of your own? In any case, we at The Spa Bath Company wish you a very happy and prosperous 2015.
