Instead, this smart system uses the shell of the bathtub itself as a transmission vector for the sound. What does this mean for you? How it works (the short version)

If all this sounds a little too good to be true, here’s an abridged explanation of how the system works. Essentially, we use a specialised form of speakers known as ‘exciters’. Two of these speakers are fixed to either side of your bathtub in discreet locations to represent the left and right channels of your music. You can simply connect to the Bath Sound System wirelessly via Bluetooth on your phone or tablet, (away from the water in the bath, naturally), set your favourite playlist going, then sit back and relax as the music envelops you. What’s more, if you have a smart device which supports Apple’s Siri, the Google Assistant, or Amazon Echo, you can use voice commands to choose the music you like without ever having to touch your device. Pretty smart stuff, right?
